My life moves between these two cities... Maracay, my hometown, and Caracas, my favorite city here in Venezuela. In one of them are the people I love, and in the other are the things I love. Sometimes I think I don't belong to either city, but it's getting harder and harder to move between them. I have many responsibilities in the capital, and now I'm living the true life of a married man, but eventually my roots in Aragua keep calling me, and I have to go back home. There's one thing that's always certain: when I need to travel, I always choose Sundays.
Mi vida se desplaza entre estas dos ciudades... Maracay, mi ciudad natal, y Caracas, mi ciudad favorita aquí en Venezuela. En una de ellas esta la gente que amo y en la otra están las cosas que amo. A veces pienso que no soy de ninguna de las dos ciudades, pero vaya que cada vez es mas complicado moverme entre una y otra. Tengo muchas ocupaciones en la capital y ahora estoy viviendo la verdadera vida de hombre casado, pero eventualmente mis raíces en Aragua me siguen llamando y tengo que volver a casa. Hay algo que siempre es seguro, cunado necesito viajar, siempre elijo los Domingos 🙏
I don't think I had realized until now that Sundays are my favorite day. I usually have concerts, but if I don't have to work, then it's a day to relax at home with my wife or go out and do fun activities with my friends, like visiting the mountains. It also happens to be the only days my partner can come to my other city, on weekends, although traveling for just two days could be stressful, so I try to arrange my schedule to make it longer.
Creo que no me había dado cuenta hasta ahora de que los Domingos son mi día preferido. Generalmente tengo conciertos, pero sino me toca trabajar entonces es un día para descansar en casa con mi esposa o salir a hacer actividades frescas con mis amigos, como visitar la montaña. También coincide con los únicos días que puede venir a mi otra ciudad, los fines de semana, aunque viajar solo por dos días podría causarme estrés, así que trato de cuadrar mi tiempo para que sea mas.
Both cities are neighbors, and both are mountainous; in fact, it is the same mountain range that separates us from the coast. Being mountainous gives us spectacular views of landscapes like the ones you can see in these photographs I took along the way. the only difference is that my hometown is very hot and Caracas has a more pleasant climate because it is higher up, but at this moment, as I travel and drive the hour and a half between the two, I can see that there are many similarities between them, a beauty that I really enjoy and that calms my mind. The only thing I add to this moment of peace is some Mahler on my headphones, and I escape to a quieter place.
Ambas ciudades son vecinas, y ambas son montañosas, de hecho es la misma cordillera que nos separa de las costas. Que sean montañosas nos regala vistas espectaculares de paisajes como los que pueden ver e estas fotografías que tome en el camino; la única diferencia es que mi ciudad natal es muy calurosa y Caracas tiene un clima mas agradable porque esta mas elevada, pero en este momento en el que viajo y me desplazo por la hora y media de carretera ente ambas puedo ver que hay mucha similitud entre ambas, una belleza que realmente disfruto y calma mi mente, lo único que agrego a este momento de paz es algo de Mahler con mis audífonos y escapo a un lugar mas tranquilo...
Traveling on a Sunday morning, listening to calm music and connecting with nature along the way fills me with the most sublime feelings, and although lately it is not a daily activity, when I have the opportunity I take advantage of everything to my benefit so that it can be this way. In fact, I prepare a lot for the trip, even if it is only about an hour and a half; it's an hour and a half that recharges me with passion to take on a new week and leaves me with an uplifting vibe. If I don't take it upon myself to make my days more beautiful, who will? I hope you also use this Sunday to recharge your batteries and start the week off right... Have a great start to the week! 🙏
Viajar un Domingo en la mañana, escuchando música tranquila y conectando con la naturaleza del camino me llena de los sentimientos mas sublimes, y aunque últimamente no sea una actividad cotidiana, cuando tengo la oportunidad aprovecho de mover todo a mi beneficio para sea de esta manera, de hecho me preparo mucho para el viaje, aunque solo sea aproximadamente hora y media; es una hora y media que me recarga de pasion para sumir una nueva semana y quedarme con una vibra que me eleva. Si no me encargo yo mismo de hacer mis días mas hermosos, ¿Quién lo hará?; esper ustedes también usen este Domingo para recargar energías e iniciar con todo lo mejor... ¡Feliz inicio de semana! 🙏
