Another Night Walk in the Center of Madrid

It's amazing the amount of pictures I keep discovering in my thousands of files from my trip to Spain, of course my favorites are the long walks accompanied by the right person in a dream place. I think I've written it before, the center of Madrid made me fall in love, it's a magical place that I couldn't fully explore, but day or night, rain or shine, walking through these streets has been one of my best experiences of 2024. This walk was not on a Wednesday, but rather on a Thursday, but it has been one of the most representative nights in my life of what the Wednesday Walks community is all about; remember that all you need is the willingness to go for a walk and take pictures of the wonders we can find around us.

Es increíble la cantidad de fotografías que sigo descubriendo en mis miles de archivos de mi viaje a España, por supuesto que mis favoritas son las largas caminatas acompañado de la persona correcta en un lugar de ensueño. Creo que ya lo he escrito antes, el centro de Madrid me enamoró, es un lugar mágico que no pude explorar por completo, pero de día o de noche, con lluvia o sin lluvia, caminar por estas calles ha sido una de mis mejores experiencias de 2024. Esta caminata no fue un día Miércoles, más bien se dio un Jueves, pero ha sido una de las noches más representativas en mi vida de lo que significa la comunidad Wednesday Walks; recuerden que todo lo que necesitan es la voluntad de salir a dar un paseo y tomar fotografías de las maravillas que podamos encontrar en lo que nos rodea.

I believe that all cities have a lot to offer in the center, as they are the places that are more full of history, architectural beauty and even with the most privileged vegetation, as they represent the heart of that nation. In Madrid, unlike my country you can feel the glamour of royalty with so many palaces and spaces worthy of kings, very pleasant to walk among them. It also turned out to be a place with a large presence of tourists and we all shared the same feeling of awe and tranquility that walking through magical places transmits.

Creo que en todas las ciudades tienen mucho que ofrecer en el centro, ya que son los lugares que están más llenos de historia, belleza arquitectónica e incluso con la vegetación más privilegiada, ya que representan el corazón de esa nación. En Madrid, a diferencia de mi país se puede sentir el glamour de la realeza con tantos palacios y espacios dignos de reyes, muy agradables para caminar entre ellos. También resultó ser un lugar con mucha presencia de turistas y todos compartimos el mismo sentimiento de asombro y tranquilidad que transmite caminar por lugares mágicos.

During this season my girl and I were not married yet, but wow this trip was like our honeymoon in Europe 😅 I know we were working, but we did not stop enjoying and being happy in our free time. It was beautiful to walk next to her holding hands, walking for hours, protecting us from the cold and surrounded by good friends, many times we forgot that we were in Spain for work reasons, because wow my best walks since my dad passed away were here, and it's because of being surrounded by people who were happy and didn't let me submerge in my own memories.

Durante esta temporada mi chica y yo aún no estábamos casados, pero vaya que este viaje fue como nuestra luna de miel por Europa 😅 sé que estábamos trabajando, pero no dejamos de disfrutar y ser felices en nuestro tiempo libre. Fue hermoso caminar junto a ella tomados de la mano, caminando por horas, protegiéndonos del frío y rodeados de buenos amigos, muchas veces olvidamos que estábamos en España por motivos de trabajo, porque vaya que mis mejores caminatas desde que falleció mi papá fueron acá, y es por estar rodeado de personas que estaban felices y no me dejaban sumergirme en mis propios recuerdos.

I took care of taking many pictures, even thinking about this Hive community, where I not only learned to go out for a healing walk to reflect, cry and find myself again, but also the time comes when I can write these lines and relive the experience once more, it has always done me a lot of good. This evening I was also with two great friends who made me very happy with their presence, Mr. PH and his elegant wife. For me it was an unforgettable ride, a place where I was extremely happy and that made me reflect on my life, even on my country. I believe that tranquility should be a priority in everyone's life, living under a lot of stress was really killing me little by little, but you have to learn to accept every moment of life, go for a walk and let that inner voice express itself and that it can be heard... I feel many wonderful experiences coming for us 🙏

Me encargué de tomar muchas fotografías, incluso pensando en esta comunidad de Hive, donde no solo aprendí a salir a dar un paseo sanador para reflexionar, llorar y reencontrarme conmigo mismo, sino que también llega el momento en que puedo redactar estas líneas y revivir la experiencia una vez más, siempre me ha hecho mucho bien. Esta noche también estuve con dos grandes amigos que me hicieron muy felices con su presencia, Mr. PH y su elegante esposa. Para mí fue un paseo inolvidable, un lugar donde fui extremadamente feliz y que me hizo reflexionar sobre mi vida, incluso sobre mi país. Creo que la tranquilidad debería ser una prioridad en la vida de todos, vivir bajo mucho estrés realmente estaba acabando conmigo poco a poco, pero hay que aprender a aceptar cada momento de la vida, salir a caminar y dejar que esa voz interior se exprese y que pueda ser escuchada... Siento que vienen muchas experiencias maravillosas para nosotros 🙏
