It rains every day around here! It's been downpour after downpour, but don't think that's why the city has been cool, really if I've felt cool these days it's been because of the air conditioning, but boy these are strange times. Not having a car we have opted to have game and movie afternoons at home, sipping hot chocolate while the rain passes, but every day can't be the same, and there was something my wife and I hadn't done, and that was to get our mothers together again, so we have made it happen at a place close by for both of us.

Ha sido aguacero tras aguacero, pero no crean que por eso la ciudad ha estado fresca, realmente si me he sentido fresco estos días ha sido por el aire acondicionado, pero vaya que son tiempos extraños. Al no tener coche hemos optado por tener tardes de juego y películas en casa, tomando un chocolate caliente mientras pasa la lluvia, pero todos los días no pueden ser iguales, y había algo que mi esposa y yo no habíamos hecho, y era juntar nuevamente a nuestras madres, así que lo hemos hecho realidad en un lugar cercano para ambas.
We took them to lunch and had a great time. Just as we arrived at the mall another one of those torrential downpours began to fall, but at least we made it to our destination. For some reason both moms really enjoy walking around and browsing the stores. I don't like it at all, but I do like good company, plus I needed a break from some repairs I've been doing at my mother's house. Thanks to the rain there were few people in the place and plenty of room for the four of us. There was one large clothing store in particular that caught our eye because of the mannequin girls.

Por alguna razón ambas madres disfrutan mucho caminar y recorrer las tiendas. A mí no me gusta para nada, pero sí me gusta la buena compañía, además, necesitaba un descanso de unas reparaciones que he estado haciendo en mi casa materna. Gracias a la lluvia había poca gente en el lugar y mucho espacio para nosotros cuatro. Hubo una gran tienda de ropa en particular que nos llamó la atención por las chicas maniquíes.
As you can see in the picture, they really looked like men dressed as women, but it caught our attention and we went in even though we knew we weren't going to buy anything. Strolling in a clothing store, why not? Many times I did it in my adolescence and we caused disasters without buying any garment. But this time it was different, I am already a responsible man and I was just walking around with our mothers, but wow the store didn't help us much to be serious, the ugliest clothes in the world were sold there 🤣
Como pueden ver en la foto, realmente parecían hombres vestidos de mujer, pero llamó nuestra atención y entramos aunque sabíamos que no ibamos a comprar nada. ¿Pasear en una tienda de ropa? ¿Por qué no? Muchas veces lo hice en mi adolescencia y causábamos desastres sin comprar prenda alguna. Pero esta vez era distinto, ya soy un hombre responsable y solo estaba de paseo con nuestras madres, pero vaya que la tienda no nos ayudaba mucho a estar serios, la ropa más fea del mundo la vendían ahí 🤣
There was a small section of men's clothing, but like any good man I saw it all in less than 5 minutes, enough to know what I liked and what I didn't like. The only way it takes me long is when I'm aware I'm shopping and I choose a lot to try on, but this time I was just browsing. A couple of shirts caught my attention, even some shoes, but it wasn't enough, so I went to the girl's area with my girls and boy did we last a long time there; so long that I can even write about this family outing.
Había una pequeña sección de ropa para caballeros, pero como todo buen hombre lo vi todo en menos de 5 minutos, suficiente para saber lo que me gustaba y lo que no. La única manera de tardar es cuando estoy consciente que voy de compras y elijo mucho para probarme, pero esta vez solo estaba de paseo. Un par de camisas llamaron mi atención, incluso unos zapatos, pero no fue suficiente, así que me fui a la zona de chicas con mis chicas y vaya que ahí sí duramos mucho tiempo; tanto ha sido que hasta puedo escribir sobre este paseo familiar.
The place was totally empty, but after visiting it I don't know anymore if it's due to the rain to the clothes. I really questioned if there were people buying this kind of clothes, and I had not finished commenting it to my wife when a lady passes by with a basket full of clothes to try on 🤣 and she heard me 🤣 I felt a bit bad and I also laughed a lot, but I hope my words did her some good and she does not make mistakes in the fitting rooms 🤣
El lugar estaba totalmente vacío, pero después de visitarlo ya no sé si se deba a la lluvia a la ropa. Realmente me cuestioné si había gente que comprara este tipo de ropa, y no había terminado de comentárselo a mi esposa cuando pasa una señora con una cesta llena de ropa para probarse 🤣 y me escuchó 🤣 me sentí un poco mal y también me reí mucho, pero espero que mis palabras le hayan servido de algo y no cometa errores en los probadores 🤣
I came across this mannequin. Maybe she doesn't have long hair like the “girls” at the entrance of the store, but it made me realize that clothes look better when they have them on. Maybe it's me who doesn't understand women's clothes and I think my wife and my mom are not the best example, as they dress very normal and cool, nothing complicated. I also had a lot of fun with one of the guys in the store, I think he didn't like me taking pictures and not buying clothes, but the idea of the walks is to take pictures of everything I find eye-catching.
Me topé con este maniquí. Quizás ella no tenga un largo cabello como las "chicas" en la entrada de la tienda, pero me hizo darme cuenta que la ropa se ve mejor cuando la tienen puesta. Quizás soy yo quien no entiende la ropa de mujeres y creo que mi esposa y mi mamá no son el mejor ejemplo, ya que ellas visten muy normal y frescas, nada de complicaciones. También me divertí mucho con uno de los chicos de la tienda, creo que no le gustaba mucho que yo tomara fotos y no comprara ropa, pero la idea de los paseos es ir tomando fotografías de todo lo que me parece llamativo.
We left the clothing store and continued our adventure through the empty mall. We vowed that we would only enter a store again when we intended to shop. Finally something caught my eye, a small silver chain that will look great for my casual gigs when my vacation is over. I told a friend to drop by looking for us in an hour, but we were having such a good time on our walk that I missed an hour and a half of time. My friend was still kind enough to pick us up in the evening despite the rain.
Salimos de la tienda de ropa y continuamos nuestra aventura por el centro comercial vacío. Juramos que solo volveríamos a entrar a una tienda cuando tuviéramos la intención de comprar. Al final algo llamó mi atención, una pequeña cadena de plata que se verá muy bien para mis conciertos informales cuando se terminen mis vacaciones. Le dije a un amigo que nos pasara buscando a una hora, pero la estábamos pasando tan bien en nuestro paseo que se me pasó una hora y media de tiempo. Igual mi amigo tuvo la cordialidad de irnos a buscar en la noche a pesar de la lluvia.
This trip ended with a delicious ice cream at nightfall, besides it was just and necessary to sit down for a while to rest our legs. Everyone went home to return to their mom and spend the night with her, I imagine that these are luxuries that we can still give us for not having children, but for me it is very strange not to sleep with my wife in the same bed. This trip brought me many benefits, being at home working for a long time can drive me crazy, besides it is no longer my house and they have other habits, we really needed to do something different to distract us and take advantage of my last days of vacation.
Este paseo terminó con un rico helado al caer la noche, además ya era justo y necesario sentarnos un rato a descansar nuestras piernas. Cada quien se fue a su casa a regresar a su mamá y pasar la noche con ella, imagino que son lujos que aún podemos darnos por no tener hijos, pero para mí es muy extraño no dormir con mi esposa en la misma cama. Este paseo me trajo muchos beneficios, estar mucho tiempo en casa trabajando me puede enloquecer, además que ya no es mi casa y tienen otras costumbres, realmente necesitábamos hacer algo distinto para distraernos y así aprovechar mis últimos días de vacaciones.
