Entrenando tren superior con Jen
Training upper body with Jen
• Dominadas australianas: 2s/8rep.
• Aguante en Lean Planche: 8/10seg de aguante.
This time I want to share with you my routine to start the week, I wanted to post it yesterday but I had a little mishap with my device, however I'm here without fail. I'm taking advantage of my motivation to implement new things in my workouts like; implements, supplements, exercises, techniques, tricks and many more things that I will be sharing with you all through my posts.
Today I bring you a surprise, guess what, I have a new training partner! Yes, her name is Jennifer Guerra, I call her "Jen", she is a friend I met at the Dance Academy, she saw some of the photos and videos I share on my WhatsApp statuses about this beautiful discipline and she asked me; Do you train calisthenics? To which I replied; Yes. She replied back; "It would be nice to train together, I also like it and I would like to start". That filled me with a lot of excitement and obviously I accepted. So I invited her to train with me, taking advantage of the fact that I am going back to basics and training fundamentals from scratch. The first thing I did was to see her ability and make sure I saw her strengths and weaknesses, just as I have been training myself. To do this I checked her strength in push up, pull up, abdominal and of course I also evaluated posture, taking the result into account I put together the routine and explained in detail the exercises to do and what they were going to be used for, I never left her alone, we both did the same routine with the same sets and repetitions. I decided to create a basic routine for both of us where the whole upper body was worked, that's what led me to combine stretching, mobility, pushing and pulling exercises. A different, basic but effective routine where we worked a lot on good posture. The routine was performed after stretching as follows:
Lateral arm extensions and contractions with resistance bands: 2s/12rep.
Scapular extension and contraction with resistance bands: 2s/12rep.
Chest push-ups: 2s/8rep.
Scapular contractions on fixed bar: 2s/8rep.
Incline push-ups on fixed bar: 2s/8rep.
Australian pull-ups: 2s/8rep.
Lean planche hold: 8/10sec hold.
