Simple things, comfortable things,
Things we share with loved ones.
So often the ones we love, are not what we expect.
All our lives,
We are inculcated with the notion that
“Amorous/erotic” love is the goal,
The end game, or that
“Agape” love, or love of
God, is
The most important.
Love is, in itself, the ultimate
Goal, love of all things living,
All people, all animals… yes
Even (or especially)
Love of the Planet Earth.
We need
Only look at the devotion of a Dog to its human, to
See true and perfect love.
This is what we should
All exhibit towards each other,
Our planet
(Which is our home)
And all that lives here with us.
I simply cannot understand, can’t fathom
Why this is so difficult a concept, other
Than our western capitalistic mind
Set, makes us believe that we
Individually are the most
Important thing on the
Planet.
We are part of "The Whole", and we
Need to come to
Terms with this.
We must love
Ourselves
First.
