Story Title: The Rainy Day
This is a story of a man who is a Christian and committed to the work of preaching the gospel every weekend. This man does this very faithfully with his son. They go around their environment sharing tracts and speaking to several people about Jesus and sharing the good news of the gospel to them.
One faithful weekend, it was raining very heavily and it was looking as if this rain wasn't going to stop falling. Normally it is not advisable to go and share tracts in the rain considering the circumstances involved, but his son persuaded him so they could both go to share tracts.
After so much persuasion from his son, he decided that they go out in the rain to share the tracts. As they were on their duty, they got into a house and knocked on a particular door. There was no response from this door. They kept knocking but no one responded. The son then took a tract and passed it under the door and they walked away and continued their duty.
After one week they saw someone in their church giving a testimony of how he was on the verge of taking his life. He was so frustrated about life and thought the best solution was to take his life to end the whole misery. He had set the rope and the chair but heard a persistent knock on the door. He wasn't willing to open the door, he just wanted them to go away while he continued with the hanging.
The tract that was left for him through the underneath of his door was what got his attention. The title of the tract was what got his attention. He read through the tract and saw that he was special and valuable to God. The message on the tract was directed personally to him at that particular time. With tears in his heart, he changed his mind and gave his heart to God. This was how this man was delivered from taking his life.
Lessons To Learn From This
No matter what you are going through in life, do not result to taking your life as the solution. No matter how tough it is, there is a solution to that problem inside of you. So find the solution. Bring it out from the inside of you.
Do not stop that good work you've been doing. It might seem that the good thing you're doing is not appreciated, just keep doing it and don't stop. You might be saving a life.
