Hi, guys!
Yesterday, I started trying to change how I manage my time; after working with my therapist, we realized that something clearly unhealthy was going on. So, I need to adjust my approach to what I do and how I do it. Nothing drastic to start with, but at least enough so I don't get completely overwhelmed in the process. Obviously, it won't all work out instantly, but I plan to gradually tie up all the loose ends and get things back on track. It’s clear that things won't be perfect right away, but bit by bit, I’ll get it sorted and everything will start running smoothly. I know I’ll still be spending a huge amount of time working on the book, but that was the plan from the very beginning. So, we just keep moving forward with it—little by little, without panicking.
I need to step away from the text now and then—something I naturally don't want to do, but it will benefit both me and the writing. So, I need to learn how to balance things. That’s what I’ll focus on. Slowly but surely—no sudden moves. I’m just introducing a few extra variables into my daily routine and calmly getting the work done. Reading books for reviews bit by bit, working on the blog at a steady pace, publishing toy ads and book reviews. It’s all the same stuff I was doing before; I’m just doing it a bit more slowly now. So, nothing has really changed—I’m just giving myself a little more breathing room. It’s fine; I have every right to do that, and the world won't fall apart because of it. The main thing is that I hold it together myself. So, I’m focusing and calmly continuing the work. Of course, there are challenges—like getting a lot less done than before—but I’ll try to put in a bit of extra effort to catch up on what needs catching up. I also need to write to the publishers I’ve been working with for a long time—just to remind them I’m still around. Can’t let them get too complacent. So, everything is going according to plan; I just had to tweak it a little.
Also, enough time has passed since my surgery for me to get back to exercising, so I can start hitting the gym again—which is exactly what I intend to do. It’s important, after all; you have to take care of your body. Obviously, I’ll have less time for writing, but it’s a sacrifice worth making just to stay up and running.
So, that’s the plan for now—the main thing is to stick to it.
Have a great day, everyone!
