I talked about Chori and my adventure into ginger farming. I shared a picture of one of several ginger farms I have in Chori. I am proud to be a farmer.
Apart from ginger, other crops are grown in Chori.

My experience in Chori was a remarkable one. I was in Chori with a close friend of mine who has been of great support all through the farming project.

Some Facts About Chori
Chori is located in southern part of Nigeria. The weather conditions are extreme. When the sun is out, it is out for good and when the weather is cold, it is so very cold.
From the picture above, you can see that we were trying to survive from the very hot sun. Our complexions were transformed into something very dark because we weren't really prepared during the first visit.
Our first visit had to do with a lot of supervising and movement here and there. It was fun leaving the urban environment to a very rural one with lots and lots of interesting adventure which I will unfold in these series.

Why Ginger?
A lot of people will want to know why I chose ginger amongst other crops. There are several other crops I would love to plant and other sectors of agriculture I would delve into in the future. Ginger has several health benefits and it can be used in several forms. It is a product that is consumed internationally with great demands.
I will take a break here and continue in subsequent series.
Thanks for reading through my blog. Stay tuned for more farming experience from Chori.
