1 Peter 5: 6-7
Humble yourselves, then, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you when it is time;
7 casting all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.
God has given us wonderful promises so that we could live quietly and peacefully, he has advised us through his promises to rest all our burdens on Him because He takes care of us.
This is a promise that comes true the day you take the disposition and the choice to walk without worries. However, people today are so tired and far from this promise that they ignore it and choose worry and discouragement.
One of the things we have to recognize in this life is that we need humility to get closer to God, we need to recognize that we are sinners and that we fail.
However, God is always willing to hear us and help us when we recognize this great truth, when we humble ourselves before his presence, under his powerful hand He will exalt us at the precise moment.God is always a prayer away from us, he always hears us with attention and care, his presence is always present and he takes care of every path we travel.
These verses exalt the humble interpersonal relationships, which must be established under the powerful hand of God. He is the one who exalts the humble when it's time; that is, when the "priciple of the shepherds" appears, "the mighty hand of God" may be an allusion to the exodus, when Israel was liberated. But today this promise is still valid, because God does not change.
If we want to have a life free of worries we have to react to the promises of God and assume that He has called us to assume the true peace that He as sovereign and highest knows how to give, but for this we must raise our flag of faith, trust and hope in each of his promises.
Let us choose to walk in the promises that God has given us to experience the true peace that every man has been called to experience.
