A while ago I made a post about giving up on steem. Writing the post helped me to get a clear view over all aspects. From time to time it's good to take a step back and evaluate.

Negative vs positive aspects

I'm not going to repeat all points I made. The conclusion is that there are a lot of aspects to steem that can make you think about it in a certain way. Through the reactions and chats I learned that some aspects are interpreted differently. Some things I don't like are loved by others, and maybe vice verse. This opened my eyes, attitude is not determined by the facts but how you handle them.

Think positive

It's easy to get discouraged when negativity crosses your path. But it gets easier if you put them in perspective. Without really realizing it I am surrounded with positive people. Sure we aren't making big waves like the big fish around, but that doesn't make us less valuable, that doesn't mean we don't interact, it doesn't mean we don't share, it doesn't mean we don't have fun.

Change in attitude

From now on I will try to be more conscious about the content that I'm facing. It's a matter of looking past the negativity, past the voting wars, past the bots etc. There's so much more on steem that deserves my attention and time. There's no need to quit, I'm still having fun, I still meet interesting people, I still read interesting articles, ...

Thank you to all of you

A big warm thank you to everybody who has been so positive in the replies and chat. A big thank you for being so positive about steemmakers@steemmakers and appreciating all the work done.
