This is a very enjoyable story, raymondpeter@raymondpeter. More people should choose to be like Charles when there are economic hardships. It was so nice to read how well his choice worked for him, and that he was also able to support the community with food when they otherwise might have starved. Well done!

You share a moral of the story at the end, as the author. I always recommend to authors that they don't provide morals or other information outside of the story. This is because readers should have the opportunity to make their own determination about what is to be learned from it. Your story is fine on its own, without the "author intrusion." (You can read more about this in our article about avoiding author intrusion.
