This creative nonfiction post could actually be turned into a really interesting fictional story. I could see it being a genre piece (horror) or even a non-genre story about the fracturing of a personality. What divides a "normal" person who has a dual-self as you describe in your self-reflection piece here (pun intended!) from one who actually develops a split personality mental illness? Fascinating things to ponder.
