Not all second-hand stores are made alike! I visited two today that sit right on the cusp of some of the most upscale neighborhoods in my area. I hadn’t stepped into them before. I sort of had sticker shock, as you will see.
I have to say, I loved how they arranged everything. All of the spaces are set up like little living rooms, with a coffee table near a couch, and displaying an interesting vase or sculpture.
I went in looking for some framed art, and there were some really nice pieces.
And this amusing sign appears in several places throughout the store…
But the most amazing thing I saw was a four-poster bed with Greek columns!
On the opposite end of the spectrum were the usual collectibles and figurines.
The point when the sticker shock hit me was when I saw the price of the couch I was interested in.
Fortunately they have a rolling discount for things that have not moved, so it is possible I can go back and find it for less.
Thank you for visiting! And special thanks as always to @dswigle, the esteemed leader of Market Friday!
