Yesterday’s walk was with some long-time friends. Spring was threatening to make itself known, even as a chilly breeze sped past and we had to keep moving to stay warm.
As you can see the lakes are still shedding their icy surfaces. The ponds are completely melted now, but the larger bodies of water take more time — presumably because they are deeper and colder.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to have that little patio overlooking the lake when the weather warms up?
We had a few hills to climb on that walk. It felt so great to be moving!
We passed some gorgeous upscale homes.
And one had a statue of Babe, the Blue Ox, in the yard. (In case you’re not familiar, you can read about this Minnesota lore here.)
