Zoey and I took the same walk this evening as we have for the past two days, because it is so gorgeous there.
The trail winds along a frozen creek and you can only walk there this time of year. When the weather warms, it will return to its marshy state, with water everywhere, bullfrogs at the water’s edge and redwing blackbirds in the cattails.
For now, though, walking there is like being in a secret wonderland.
Even when it is getting dark, Zoey wants to chase the ball.
