It was such a beautiful day today, after several days of heat and humidity. Several times during the workday I stepped outside just to put my face in the sun. And I’m so glad I did. My cone flowers have blossomed, and they are a very nice habitat for butterflies and bees.
I was able to capture some nice shots.
Later I took a nice long walk and had an adventure and got totally lost, which may sound scary but is actually one of my favorite things to do. I am a bit of an explorer!
I tried to get to a trail head with Google maps and it just didn’t work at all, so I traipsed through neighborhoods until I found a small trail. It turned out to lead to a water-filled tunnel!
Eventually I ended up on some train tracks.
But then I finally found the trail! It was like a long long bridge!
But it was really pretty. And a great hike. Eventually I had to use GPS to find my way back to my car!
