I love my evening walks. Even though here in Minnesota we are still in that dark and dreary in-between season that is neither winter nor spring, there is always something to see. Have you ever really looked at people’s mailboxes? Have you really taken notice of people’s yard statues? And have you ever had an experience where you stood and made eye contact with a deer who was practically camouflaged among brown foliage, only to realize that she is just on of a small herd?
Come along, let’s see what discoveries there were on tonight’s photowalk.
First, a tiny stone wall, whose purpose is purely decorative. It does not hold anything in or keep anything out! But it has a certain charm, no?
Next, an admonition on a mailbox stand. I wonder who Billy is!
And look at this adorable mailbox stand - a heart shaped decoration framing a brilliant red reflector. How cute!

And here was my deer encounter. Hello beautiful!

And look what beauty I found in someone’s garden - emerging buds and a bizarre little scarecrow.
And another unattached gate, just sitting there looking pretty (if not a bit weathered).
And last but not least, some yard statues, guardian's of a devout family's home.
