What a lovely Sunday! I wish it could go on and on. I jumped out of bed this morning to scamper around and make cookies and a ladies’ lunch. Each year my book club friends and I do a Christmas cookie exchange, and it’s just lovely. I had spent yesterday cleaning and decorating, and it’s so fun to get lights and decor up all over the house.
I’m a bit nervous about having all these cookies around the house, as I have a goal to either maintain my weight or actually lose a few pounds over the holidays! Fortunately I have a teenage boy at home!
Here’s what I ended up with after the exchange:

After our little lunch party and cookie exchange, I cleaned everything up and then went to the dog park, which is where I got the rest of my steps. It was very pleasant and mild, right around freezing, and there were plenty of dogs for Zoey to play with.
The colors of the day were decidedly monochromatic, in white and silver and gray.
