I managed to take some after-the-snow pictures today. The absolute best time to capture beautiful winter photos here is the day after the snow, when the sun comes out. But... it was a work day! So I grabbed a couple shots on the way out of my driveway this morning.
Oh! And I also managed to photograph my dog scampering out through the snow to chase a squirrel. She has a giant fenced backyard as her playground and it is full of trees, so she has the most fun each day trying to catch those elusive, wily squirrels!
The deck is on the second story, and she has to run down the stairs. She hasn’t got a nchance! They are long gone by the time she arrives.
Late in the day I managed to get out for a trail walk. It is always hard to break away from work, but I knew I was going to have to work a very long day, so I decided th tree at the “better part of valor” was to get out walking before sunset.
It’s tough to do! We are heading toward the shortest days of the year. But I did it!
As you can see, the colors are nowhere near as vibrant as when you can catch the morning sun on fresh snow.
