Hello Hive 👋 | My Introduction as a Writer Ready to Grow

Hello amazing people of #Hive, I hope it’s the best time to make this post now? I have had this account set up for a while now but didnt do any activity for long until I finally decided to write a post last week but I want to properly introduce myself now.
I was silent because I had to learn a lot lol 😜, I have been hearing about web3 but dont know how to get on or what it looks like/entails until my friend showed me the way but it took me a long time to understand it properly because we don’t stay close to each other so taking the lessons online was tedious for me but I am excited to finally be here and to begin this journey as a writer in such a vibrant and diverse community.

My name is Javan or you can call me Duke. As you can all see i am new here but I’m coming in with passion, curiosity and a strong desire to grow. I used to write a lot in my notes and my pads on my phone but I have been looking to extend it to the public view on a professional standard, not just on my WhatsApp statuses or on my phone that’s why I was glad to find #hive and didnt even rush because I want a perfect approach and also I have been writing for fun for years so why the rush?

Well, I am a graduate of the Nigerian Navy Maritime University NMU for short, where I studied Engineering ⚙️.
Asides becoming an engineer i am also a recognised Cadet but not to worry i don’t arrest or drill people lol 😝.
All the experience I gathered shaped how I think analytically, logically and with a deep focus on solving problems and over time I have developed strong skills in critical thinking which I believe will reflect in my writing.

So like I said earlier writing has always been something I’ve wanted to take seriously, not just as a hobby but as a career path and #hive feels like the perfect place to express my thoughts, share ideas, learn from other writers and grow consistently. All thanks to @herod who took his precious time to teach me via calls and sharing his screen while on video chat just so I get a perfect learning experience. He taught me a lot including front ends like #inleo and I got onboarded via @ecency
I am not just here to challenge myself and improve on my writing but I will also connect more with people who appreciate meaningful content as I am a pure lover of intellect. Maybe im sapiosexual?

It’s nice if you all know a bit more about me because I’ve only talked about academics and there’s always more to a person.
Beyond academics and writing, I have a strong passion for sports I am actively involved in watching, discussing and analyzing games, sometimes I play football or table tennis. What I love most about sports is the important hidden lesson it teaches which are :teamwork, discipline and strategy. Also i am a very social and interactive person, I love meeting new people, building friendships and having engaging conversations.
I am also a lover of food 😜 but I don’t cook so much. I love trying out different meals and enjoying good dishes, food is one of my favorite things. I always admire great cooks, but I’m more on the “enjoy the meal” side than the “prepare it” side lol hope that doesn’t make me a food monger whos lazy?

I’m really looking forward to building genuine relationships here, engaging with your posts and contributing positively to this community so if you have any tips for a newcomer, I’d truly appreciate them.
