I got what I wanted: to be the most famous writer in the world and it only cost me my soul.
Today is payday and my landlord is coming.
I hear his ominous mutterings in my head and the scratching on the door on the other side of my room.
I am not afraid, I will accept my fate even if it means spending eternity in the most horrible hell.
Suddenly, the door is violently torn open and a deformed creature, with empty sockets and a mouth full of fangs, rushes at me.
Its claws tear at me as its ghastly laughter echoes:
-I knew you'd take the deal, writer.
Your fame has a high price...Amidst heart-rending screams, my soul is torn away to the underworld.
Fame is fleeting, but damnation is eternal.
