Alicia and Antonio led an apparently harmonious life despite their disabilities.
She was mute and he was deaf, but they communicated perfectly with signs and glances.
One night, Antonio woke up with a start.
Alicia was sitting at the foot of the bed, staring at him with wild eyes.
Startled, he turned on the light.
