Getting a ruck in before the freeze - My Actifit Report Card: January 14 2022
Looking at the weather it sounds like a deep freeze in store for my area. Time to get out for a good ruck.
I ruck a fair amount and like to get out when the weather is nice. Temps moved up to between freezing and -2 today. I'm definitely not a fair weather rucker(as you can see in some of my posts) but it's nice when there is no wind, it's warmish, and the roads are clear.
I put on my 20lb vest, and loaded the day bag with 35lbs to bring me to a 55lbs load.
It was night time so going off onto the rural roads was and is a bit risky so I opted for 5 laps, and a little bit around the neighborhood.
Don't get me wrong. I'm looking forward the cold blast and the snow that's in the forecast. I'll head off into the bush for a good challenge.
