.........John opened his bag and noticed that Linda hesitated to do same but ignored her. Linda's bag was next and they found the book she had smuggled into her bag......they quickly raised an alarm, claiming that she had stolen the book since it did not reflect on the purchase receipt. John knew this was trouble and quickly said he put the book there and forgot to pay for it......in no time two police men came and took John away since he kept insisting he put the book in the bag...
Linda stood in shock....John had been warning her about this habit but she never listened....now there was trouble. She was so confused.....
She quickly went down to John's house to report what had happened to his mother. Being the only son, she rushed to the police station and bailed him out.
Thereafter, she took the both of them to her house to get the full information of what had happened. When they explained better, she was so disappointed. She knew Linda as a good girl from a good home and as a friend to her son but never knew she was a cleptomaniac.
She had to counsel Linda and John thoroughly and prayed for them.
Linda thanked John for what he had done. She promised to change. John hugged her and said "That's what friends are for"......
