It's okay to cry, because crying is a natural escape valve for a wise body that seeks to return to its center.
I'm telling you, why? Because it happened to me after days or weeks of holding everything, full of many activities (for the family, for work, for standing firm in the face of difficulties), it is normal to feel that invisible fatigue that accumulates in the chest. Many times we swallow our emotions so as not to fail others, forgetting that repressing stress only makes the body sick.
When I want to cry at those moments during the day I look for spaces alone to do it, sometimes I talk to someone of my extreme confidence and I cry my eyes out. Crying and talking not only soothes the soul; science confirms that it is a biological necessity. When we vent, our tears release endorphins and oxytocin, our natural painkillers. After crying, our nervous system activates that deep calm that slows down the heart rate and allows us, finally, to breathe.
But the process does not end by venting. Unloading that emotional load leaves the body exhausted and without energy. To heal completely, after draining, comes the most important part such as nutrition, which is our integral self-care.
Expressing what we feel cleans the mind, but giving our body a conscious diet, rich in essential nutrients and real foods, is what gives us back the vitality and strength to rebuild ourselves from the inside, to let go that helps us to let off steam to recharge.
At least, when I have cried I have felt better afterwards and that makes my mental and physical health not accumulate so much emotional discomfort... I've done it with a good friend, spending time with myself or taking a walk, or doing sports, or enjoying the sunset while walking barefoot through the grass.
After crying, letting off steam I usually read a good book, listen to music, I stare out the window at infinity while it rains, even having a good nap (alone or accompanied :-) helps me a lot.

There are pains that one would never have chosen to live, but they end up leaving marks that transform us forever, even our way of living changes.
This topic of the I am writing today, revives the feeling that accompanies me every day for the absence of my beloved father, already resting in peace, this that I write is immensely felt, it is a silent crying, that stays forever in the soul, because it is crying and remembering with love and pain those who are no longer... Soon it's December, my dad always told me life IS, in life.
I finish writing these lines while the wind drains the water that gushes from my eyes, pr the nostalgia of remembering more if I am in front of the sea, the beach, there is Dad's favorite flower orchid, at my house, it stirs my memories.
