Nice words to dedicate to your partner, they are similar to these... * what I do for you, is my way of loving, what I need you to see, is not the result, but our process*.
It is better to be consistent with oneself than to poison the soul. It is for me the only meaning of living, which is precisely not having a partner or having children, the true meaning of life is to be consistent with the highest values: truth, nobility, honor, kindness, generosity, justice, loyalty
That being said...
Sometimes you think you know a person by deep conversations, by what they say they think, by the way they talk about love, loyalty or their values. But over the years I've learned that you get to know someone a lot more in the little things. In those decisions that have no public, that no one is going to reward and that could even go completely unnoticed.
Being honest when they are looking at you is relatively easy. The difficult thing is to be when no one is going to find out.
And that applies to everything. For the hair gel that you didn't pay for by mistake, but also for the word that you promised to keep, for the way you talk about someone when he is not present, for how you treat someone who has nothing to offer you, for what you do when you could get away with it, or when you have moments to create memories with your mother or your father.
At this age, I am no longer so impressed by people who know how to speak nicely about their values. I am impressed by the people who share, what they live, especially when doing it is uncomfortable, costs time, money or just gives laziness.
The character is shown in those small decisions that seem insignificant... until one day you realize that just there was all the information you needed. And obviously, as a couple, things also add up, some things that are exclusive to that scenario are enjoyed and the support is taken advantage of ... but it's something that adds up, not something that sustains me in life.
To share with another person requires a life to share... he who has nothing to share, must first build a life and fill himself a little.
I always ask myself, what depends on me? What is under my control and how can I put it at the service of life? And there the memories as a result of the experiences make the difference.
Creating memories in fact implies allowing ourselves to live, travel, get to know, move out of our comfort zone, not leaving for later the affection or the desire to do something, to wear what you like ... The today that comes to us after the storm carries a great responsibility.
And so we are walking... each time with more to share and with less to need. If we let life go by, we run the risk of it slipping through our fingers. It has been my philosophy for years now. You have to look for those moments intentionally.
