Good friends are like a treasure, they light up an entire room with a single candle. They are also like the mirror and the shadow, the mirror does not deceive you and the shadow does not leave us.
My great life friend Carol, several days ago made me descend into an underworld of pain, anguish, collective suffering... heartbreaking images, smells, sensations; noble lights and disgusting shadows of humanity... how difficult this has happened in my country Venezuela because of the double earthquake on June 24th.
What I feel post earthquake.
These days of loving and unconditional perseverance to repay the love, warmth, nutrition and care that she, my safe lap, who cultivated the certainty of love in my life gave me this great regret. Carol and her two daughters lost their lives under the rubble.
My soul is at peace, I devoted a lot of emotional and spiritual effort to cultivating our friendship garden of my friend so that it would be clean, loving, beautiful and harmonious for four decades. I always conveyed to her the love, recognition and admiration I felt for her. I spoiled her and supported her as much as I could.
I feel a heartbreaking pain, I am overwhelmed by everything I have lived, felt and witnessed... of course I wanted to continue living many things with her... but there is nothing like saying goodbye to a loved one knowing that we had a deep certainty of love between us.
I only ask you who read me to cultivate that certainty of love before an unexpected departure comes to you and, please, let us continue to contain and support the heartbreaking wound left by the earthquake.
I remember that before this tragedy my friend Carol, had a very difficult year. They say around there that real friends get on our train, some get off, new friends get on and others accompany us the whole trip.
Mourning must be suffered, we love our family and friends, as not being in mourning, we must respect the individual space of each person. It is true that we all respond differently to tragic situations. The best thing is to accompany without judging, or pointing.
When souls depart together to the heavenly eden, sadness seems to cover the horizon. But something profound also happens: humanity remembers the capacity to love, to help and to unite. We never know in what way we will have to go through the duels in our life. He reaffirmed before such a tragic departure of my friend Carol and her family, that our friendship for so many years is one of the few certainties of the genuine love we have.
In the midst of my pain, I thank all the hearts and souls who were there for me.! These are some of the sunsets that I contemplated while waiting for news of her and her family during her search and recovery of her physical body, a moment of stillness and communion with her.
The mirror sometimes shows us what we don't want to see in the third dimension.
May prayer and meditation lead us to see with love that version that is in the unconscious and that also deserves recognition from everyone.
