My avatar @janaveda in steemit
August 1 of this year, while browsing YouTube you found a channel that recommended steemit to get rewards for posting.
Actually, at that moment I told myself, I'm going to take a look. I am in Venezuela, where hyperinflation ended my lifelong savings. Perhaps, it could be an alternative to get some additional income.
A few months before, I had created some channels on YouTube and I discovered that it is very easy to go unnoticed, much less think about monetizing your content.
With this situation and intention, I entered the platform four days later. Now, after four months, I am very satisfied with that decision. It has not been easy but gratifying.
Here are fantastic people, who support you and share similar interests. Technology helps you overcome language barriers, giving you access to somewhat different perspectives, you know places you have never heard of and that you may never visit.
In addition, you have the opportunity to develop new skills and consolidate some that you bring with you. That is why I am here, I am just arriving and I am highly committed.
At the beginning it was a bit frustrating, I think I understand very well the sensation that the friend c0ff33a told us, as well as the strategy he implemented during the beginning. In my particular case a Spanish speaker, ventured into several English-speaking communities, not as fluent as I would like but enough to understand us and his advice has been very useful to me.
Anyway, I am convinced of the great potential of the platform. In fact, I spend most of my time there, only prevented by the lousy internet service in the area where I live. Now, we have about a month without it. However, life is full of obstacles and this is also overcome.
I have promoted among many of my friends the benefits of Steemit, which I now understand, transcends the fact of monetary rewards, also the recognition of others like you is important. In addition, I think that the Steem blockchain has an innovative and differentiating concept that will be imposed sooner rather than later.
