For a long time I was easily discouraged by the smallest of things that happened to me. I was unsatisfied with me, the people around me and life in general. I lived in a mentality where I gave up to stop my bad behaviors and rather tried accepting them.

On a solo-trip to Malaga, I found a small sugar bag in a hidden coffee bar. First, I didn't even recognize it, discounting it as this typical kind of an emotional marketing slogan. But when I read it over and over again, I found a deep meaning in it, being as simple as it can: Noone is there to change my situation other than me!

Especially the points "Be happy" and "Sleep well" were hard to address, because those are influenced by things around you – people, work and others. But I came to the conclusion that it's up to you recognizing the good, being thankful for what you got and enjoying the worthy moments between your daily obligations.

Looking back, I see that my life balance significantly changed. I stopped smoking, started doing some sports and looked more after myself. Also the quality of conversations improved. Lately, I received the feedback that I'd be a person of trustfulness and integrity.

If you feel like I described myself in the first paragraph, I want to tell you: Give it a try! Proceed in small steps. Change your daily routine. Skip the unhealthy stuff and search for something you'd like to improve in – don't be harsh to yourself but consistent in your learning. Dare to talk about your feelings and tell people that you appreciate them. You can only win.
