Today I am back with a new story. So let's start. It was almost three o'clock in the night. Rakesh was walking along the road in front of the temple at the end of the village. He was a postman, returning home after delivering letters at night. It was pitch dark all around, only the lamp kept in front of the temple was flickering with light. Suddenly Rakesh heard someone crying from inside the temple. Rakesh, curious, went closer and saw a woman sitting and crying. She was wearing a white sari, her long hair was loose and a shiny gold necklace was hanging around her neck.
Rakesh was scared and wanted to step back, but the woman looked at him and said, "Save me!" Rakesh's body trembled upon hearing his voice. There was a reddish light in the woman's eyes and a strange smile on her face! Rakesh was scared and started running away. But a cold wind came from behind and hugged his body.
The next morning, the villagers found Rakesh lying near the temple. The gold necklace was hanging around his neck! But as soon as he touched the necklace, it disappeared like smoke! Seeing this scene, the villagers took Rakesh home trembling with fear, but he was still unconscious. Although the necklace disappeared like smoke, a black mark remained on his neck - as if someone had squeezed it tightly.
The next day, the village priest came to the temple and some elderly villagers were with him. They went through old documents and found out that fifty years ago, a newlywed had committed suicide near this temple. She had that gold necklace around her neck! She was said to be burning with the fire of revenge because her husband had cheated on her and taken the necklace away.
The priest performed a yagna for the peace of the woman's soul, following all the rules and freed the woman's soul. Then, as the night grew dark, a glimmer of light appeared in front of the temple, and someone said in a soft voice, "Thank you!" Since then, that cry has never been heard in front of the temple again, and even if someone stood at three in the morning, only a light breeze would blow like a breath of peace.
I have finished my story here today. I really enjoy reading and writing horror stories. There are some stories that make you shiver when you read them. I hope you enjoy reading today's story. Thank you all.
