The 1953 coup in Iran had no major repercussions. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have been rousing successes, and the USA certainly hasn't gotten embroiled in any further dubious wars as a consequence. I'm sure any new war with Iran will be short, inexpensive, and completely above reproach.
