It's the first day of March ! I went next door to pay my rent and on the way back I meandered about the yard.

I took a photo looking through the top of my pendulum yard art/sculpture. Neat huh? I didn't realize I caught a car whizzing by until after I posted.

I stopped and took a photo or two of my aunt's flowers.

Not in full force yet, but well on the way.

The Yellow Bell bushes are busting out.

Also not in full bloom yet. It won't be long though.

Among other things, I planted some WAVE petunias in the back porch boxes summer before last, shades of purple and pink, light and dark. I left them there after they gave out and was rewarded last summer with boxes full of them where they reseeded themselves. Looks like it will be a bumper crop again.

I know some people would not be able to NOT make themselves clean out the boxes and make them look all tidy, but there are benefits in not doing it sometimes. This old wintery look will not be around too much longer.

The rainbow dragonfly is still wrapped in the Jasmine vine. I actually never expected the jasmine to live after the first year as this is not it's best "zone", but if nothing changes, this will be it's fourth year to flower and flourish. It is a little sheltered snugged up beside the porch like it is.

I was thinking I might see the tips of a peony bulb or maybe hosta, but no. There were still some leaves over top of where they are and since we have had a last snow after the first of March many years, I didn't attempt to move the leaves just to have a look.

Yeah... I don't know why I took this one either LOL ! It is a tropical spike that was surrounded by a flowering vine last year. I was surprised it wasn't all brown. Last year another one survived till spring too, but then turned brown and gave up. Seems if it made it THAT far, it could have stuck around... right?

I don't know what this sweet little green stuff is, but it likes to grow in the pots and flower beds in winter and jump in during summer too with the other plants if you aren't looking. It might be the cure for some disease, so prolific, but we just pull it out and throw it on the ground. I should figure out what it is in case it would taste good in a salad. LOL !!!

The Dogwood tree has nubs that will be buds before too long. It was not this dark outside when I took the photo, but that is how my camera treated the twilight.

I forgot I rested part of the kite balancer on the lattice ball sculpture. I thought it looked kind of funny. It won't be long too before there is an award winning patch of large clovers beneath it all..... instead of crunchy leaves.

I can't wait !

Hope you are all having a good week. Mine has not been too shabby.

Take care and stay safe !

Love ya!
