I'm 64 today ! Wow ! I'm sure I probably look like it, but I will say for certain that it sure doesn't feel like it. There is not a single wrinkle on my mind or spirit ! 😄
This is me on my first birthday. Looks like I was making out like a bandit on the presents there.
I landed in a family that was fairly traditional for the 50's and ended up being the middle child of 5. We had a good childhood. My parents were responsible people and did whatever needed to be done to make sure we were raised as well as possible with lots of love and an appropriate dash of discipline. They made sure we had what we needed. Since there was five children, it was not a life of luxury, but it was a life of enough.
This is me soon after I was born.
I can definitely say that my life hasn't gone much of any way I ever imagined when I was young. I can't say I had a detailed plan, but not in my wildest imagination would I have ever pictured it the way it has turned out so far. Surprise ! Surprise ! ...a life of surprises, some good and some bad.

My nature has always been pretty laid back I think, but there is always much going on inside my head all the time. I'm pretty creative, but my Mom and Dad both were and I would say all my brother's and sisters are too.

Me on my 4th birthday with three of my siblings The 5th was born about 5 years later. I wonder what I wished for before I blew those candles out.
I'm not sure how I lasted this long. When I was 16 I didn't think I'd make it to 40. I don't know why. It was not thoughts of doom and gloom, I just somehow thought I wouldn't live longer than that.
....then 40 came and I was still here..... and 50 showed up and I thought 50??? really?? I'm 50??? ...because I still felt the same as when I was 25. I knew more, but inside I felt the same. Needless to say I've just been amazed since then as time has gone whizzing by.... till now here I am !
Me on my 5th birthday..... a doll cake AND a popcicle..... can't ask for better than that !
I went out for a masked and distanced visit to my Mom's so she could see her little girl on her birthday. One of my sisters was there and was arranging a vase of flowers for me when I arrived. We had a fun visit.
I asked for Rice Krispie's Treets for my birthday cake. There was one candle because we didn't want to take a chance of burning the house down with 64 ! ha ha....
I brought some extras home with me. Yum Yum !
At Christmas my Mom asked me to order her a bear for my Stepdad to give her and I did. It made me want one, so I ordered one for Mom to give me, with her approval and Amazon delivered it while I was there !
Ginger, my birthday bear is on the left. Cute !... right ? It's going to sit in a chair in my living room. I think it will make me happy to see it there.
My sister surprised me with a very unique gift. It is a wooden crescent with the Capricorn constellation on it. I had never thought to look that up and even now, I don't know if I am showing it to you right-side-up or upside down !
Here is the back, in case you are wondering. I thought it was so cool and of course now I am going to have to study it a little bit to see where it is in the night sky. I love researching things that are new to me.
Now I am waiting for my brother to show up with my supper. He is picking up a meal from my favorite Chinese restaurant and is going to pretend he is doordash. When he gets here, we will have a few distanced birthday words on my back porch and then it will be time for me to eat my birthday feast.
