I visited with my Mom last Sunday. A sunflower had come up voluntarily this past spring close to an area where some sunflowers had been planted several years before. It turned out to be a very big one..... but..... it's head is so big it can't hold it up ! No following the sun.... no showing us it's pretty face !
Poor Sunny, always looking down now. See how massive it's head is? I wish now I had gotten something out to measure, but I didn't think of it at the time. I thought the back looked pretty interesting though. Never really studied much on that part before.
Not to be totally outdone though, I stuck my phone underneath it and said the word "smile !".... and let my phone take a couple of random photos from underneath. I could not tell what it was taking till afterwards when I pulled the photos up on my phone. That is how I got the first photo on this post and here is a little bit closer upper.

LOL.... I guess that part of my message was very clear.
Like always, there is plenty to do, but I don't know what I will start on next. Maybe I'll drink a little more Amaretto coffee and watch a few painting videos while I think about it.
