Taking a train to Saint Denis, I split up with Uncle to track down Charles Smith, eventually securing a lead from the bartender at Doyle's Tavern. Reunited at St. Saturnine's, Charles shared his situation and entered a street fight, prompting me to bet on his guaranteed victory.
Uncle told John that he heard about Charles Smith being alive and in Saint Denis. So John and uncle want to Saint Denis to track him down. I thought I'd have to travel all the way to Saint Denis from Beecher's Hope but they traveled by train.
Then they decided to split up, so it would be easier to find Charles while uncle asked me to take the slums and he would take the salons, mapping out our separate search zones across the city grid to cover ground efficiently.
Now I could ask about Charles either at the salon or at the fence. And I rode to Doyle's Tavern that I cleaned from rats twice as Arthur, stepping through the swinging wooden doors of the dim, crowded establishment to look for a knowledgeable source.
And the bartender gave me information about Charles fighting tonight over at St. Saturnines, tipping me off about the illegal underground matches held in the city's rougher quarters.
I had to find Charles at St. Saturnines so I rode there. And after getting to the spot, I found Uncle was already there. So we started moving inside to look for Charles.
After getting there, we really found Charles Smith. Both John and Charles were glad to find each of them alive. And Charles told about his current situations, explaining how he had survived and ended up competing in the city's fighting rings.
As the fight were beginning, Charles decided to bet on himself, as he knew he was going to win, handled his money over to the bookkeeper to secure his high-stakes wager.
Then I was asked if I would bet on Charles or bet against him, though I didn't have an option to not bet on anything, and I had a gut feeling that Charles would win, so I bet on himself, risking my own cash on his combat skills.
The fight began inside the crowd, and I could focus on Charles to cheer him, though didn't you use the feature. I just stayed there and used the photo mode to capture some photos of the fight.
When Charles started putting him up after the fight started, I noticed the other man didn't have any chance against Charles, and yeah, Charles won in a matter of time, knocking his opponent flat onto the canvas with a powerful combination of heavy punches.
