I walked into the house where Abigail was quietly working. Jack called us outside when Sadie Adler arrived with news. Over a meal, Sadie proposed a new government bounty job. Despite Abigail's anger, John agreed to join her. As we rode toward Tall Trees, John revealed his plans to marry Abigail.
I walked toward the house to check on the next mission, unsure of what was waiting inside but hoping for the best.
Inside, Abigail was doing needlework on something, probably working on a purse or something. She looked genuinely happy and content in her own home.
John asked her if she was happy, and she admitted that she was, giving him credit for making it happen. However, she reminded him that certain mistakes are never truly forgiven.
Suddenly, Jack called out to them from outside. They rushed out to see Sadie Adler arriving on her horse. Abigail was thrilled to see her, though Sadie appeared to be carrying serious news.
They all sat down together for a quick meal while Sadie talked about her plans. She mentioned wanting to start her own transportation business and asked if John would help her.
Abigail immediately stepped in, insisting that John was done with that line of work. John explained that they still needed money and that working with Sadie was necessary, which made Abigail furious.
Sadie tried to calm her down by explaining that this was an official government contract, making it far safer than their past jobs. Abigail remained upset, knowing John was stepping back into the bounty hunting life. The conversation turned even heavier when Abigail brought up Micah.
Sadie mentioned she had heard rumors about Micah killing a family somewhere, which visibly bothered all of them. Despite the tension, Sadie laid out the details for a high-paying bounty.
With the money being too good to pass up, Abigail reluctantly accepted the decision, though she was still visibly uneasy. As Sadie and John prepared to leave, Abigail made John promise to come back safely.
After mounting my horse, I followed Sadie as we rode up into the scenic, sunlit paths of Tall Trees. John told her how nice it was of her to stop by and visit them, just as he had asked her to do earlier.
Sadie admitted she was glad to see how well things were going for Abigail, Jack, and John. As our horses kept a steady pace along the dirt track, John opened up to her about my personal plans. He revealed that he was planning to ask Abigail to marry him.
He even mentioned that he had kept a ring that belonged to Arthur, which he intended to use for the proposal.
Sadie was completely taken aback by the news, confessing she had never pegged John as the romantic type. She laughed and admitted she assumed Abigail and John were already legally married after all these years together.
John told her that he genuinely wanted to make it official this time. Sadie smiled, genuinely happy for them, before we turned our focus back to the road ahead and the bounty hunt waiting for us.
Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
