Life sometimes can be unfair.

But then your philosophy about life makes life treat you the way it does. In most cases, people accept it the way it comes, forgetting the fact that things can be done differently to get a better result.

Until you stop seeing life as what you see, life will not stop treating you the way it used to.

You take the bull by the horn to ensure that you get to that phase where you want to be.

Jane, a student of comprehensive high school, had always been ridiculed on so many occasions by her teachers, students, neighbors and even her parents. Her performance in school is nothing to write home about as she is classified to have a very Low IQ. She has to be taught several times before she gets to understand and added to that fact she is a very slow learner.

Jane never had it simple; she tried harder and harder day after day but all to no avail as she remained in the same spot.

Jane always hides her face while in class just to avoid being asked questions knowing full well that she will not be able to answer any and that has been her weak point as she won't escape that embarrassment in school jane began to lose her focus in school and began to have reasons not to go to school her Dad will not stop giving her the insult of her life but he also will not stop paying her fees she has repeated her SS1 (Senior secondary one) after many struggles to pass her junior secondary with a very bad grade.

Uncle Alex visited after his Youth service; he decided to stay in Jane's house for a while before he would search for work around town and start a life.

He discovered Jane's situation and decided to help her out.

He started with a private home season where he took it upon himself to take his full time to explain everything that she has been taught in school.

Jane is a Slow learner, and all she needs is a good time, love and care to enable her to learn that she never got from anyone.

Alex discovered Jane had a good talent for learning not to forget even though she is a slow learner but once she learns she never forgets.

Jane, come here her teacher called she walked down to him I discovered you did well in the last continuous assessment. So I am going to ask you this question just once and if you dere lies to me I will make sure I punish you very well.

Who did you copy from? Her teacher asked.

Nobody sir Jane answered.

Well, I am going to test you again and if you fail I will make sure I punish you. Now go to my office and wait for me.

He came in and gave Jane a similar question to answer just to make sure she did not copy from anyone.

To his greatest surprise, the outcome was wowwww.

He couldn't believe his eyes after marking and grading her assessment.

How did she do it? He kept asking himself but he was forced to believe because he was right in front of her as she answered those questions.

She loved uncle Alex because he was always there for her. He gave all his time to her making sure she understands everything she is being taught in school. And it has worked out fine for her. She learned with joy and from henceforth she began to top her class.

Uncle Alex told Jane to always pay close attention while in class and anytime she gets home she should take her time to reverse her notes and what she was taught.

All this was because he is about to leave, Jane was so disturbed she never wanted uncle Alex to go because she was taught of going back to her predicament.

She never knew uncle Alex had planted something great in her. She no longer fears questions, she reads questions carefully, she takes her time to study even at night anywhere she gets confused she seeks assistance from people who know more than she does.

All this made her even greater and even after uncle Alex left she still kept to those things she was told.

As time went on Jane became one of the best students in her school and her Dad became even more proud of her as she excelled in her education.

"Sometimes we take most of these phases of life, that is why they treat us the way they do.

You just have to take the bull by the horn to be able to achieve this thing."

That is Jane addressing her fellow student on her graduation day after telling them her story.
