Wrong or right, I am cautious around everyone until I have known them for a while. My best friends are those that I have known for years and we have all helped each other through a lot of situations in life so I trust them. I try to believe that everyone has some good qualities and cares about the state of humanity but I let anyone too close until I know them better. If I am in unfamiliar surroundings with strangers then I am on guard and alert to what is going on around me because you never know the intention of strangers. I would tell my own children to be cautious around others and to not let people too close until you know them better.
