A good person

As humans, we always desire to live a peaceful life and to enjoy a peaceful life, we always try to be surrounded by good people. When we are surrounded by good people, we can feel better and we can enjoy some time with peace without thinking too much about the evil thoughts of others. It's a very common desire of us but being surrounded by good people is not so easy because in the present world most of the people are selfish and they are not good people. So, the question is what makes a person good or what is the definition of a good person? I guess it's not so easy to express in words. Still, I will try to explain a little.

In my opinion, a good person must be an honest person because without honesty there is no way one can be considered as good. Dishonest people are full of schemes, and they have evil intentions for others and there is no reason to think that dishonest people can be a good person because they do not fit with the idea of good person. For the reason people don't trust dishonest people and in case of honest people, they are trusted by others and trust is mutual. The trust cannot be bought by money or anything unless it's earned. So having good personality is a requirement to earn trust.

The behavior of a good person must be polite. The person respect others and respects the opinions of others also. Even if they have any disagreement with others, they do not conflict with them. They just try to convince them without hurting. Several times they also have the right to say harsh things if they are on the right track but still, they choose to make others understand in a polite way because they believe that a friendly conversation is much better than using harsh words or violent ways. This is the beauty of their thoughts. And I think this kind of good thoughts make them good people.

It is true that a person cannot say the truth all the time because there are certain situations when a person chooses to lie considering overall situation. And I think it's ok. A good person, most of the time, tells the truth unless it's something that can make the situation worse. Most of the time they choose to tell the truth and that's why most people want to believe in their words. They feel that there is no long-term benefit from telling lies and this is the reason they don't lie easily, and people really love this kind of character and people don't need to think too much about this kind of person.

I think there can be many characters to say for a good person, but I think having good intention or having the intention to help others is something a good person must have. They are kind too. Because without kindness, there is no humanity and without humanity, a person cannot be a good one. So, I think those few characters are significant characters must exist in a person if we want to consider them as good people.
