—¿Crees que puedas volver a volar? —
—Entonces tienes a tu favor 2 cosas importantes. ¿Lo sabías? —
—Casi fallaste. Corrijo. ¿Puedes ver hacia arriba? —
¿Volvemos a intentarlo? —
-Do you think you can fly again? -
Another long, drawn out sigh, as he brought his hand to his head, trying to hold his thoughts....
-I wish I could, to tell you the truth. But, I really don't think I can do it, I can't do it anymore -
Thundering the fingers of his left hand, marked the signal of that moment. The questions were meant to bring out what was in the hearts of those before her.
Before she could escape from what would be an uncomfortable conversation, the moment triggered a reasoning that would mark her forever.
-And how many times have you already tried again? -
Between her teeth, she mumbled:
-Just once.
- Just once! For heaven's sake. - Seeing her cheeks flushed with sorrow or embarrassment, he tried not to make her uncomfortable with his expressions- -Sorry.
-Excuse me. I think it's the first time I've ever heard anything like that. But let's see, so you say you tried once, but you didn't succeed. There's a good sign, at the beginning you had the desire to achieve that goal, right? -
She could barely nod crestfallen, she could barely raise her pitiful gaze, she knew she was giving the impression of being weak. Even so, the reasoning began in a positive way.
-That's part of the process, don't you think? -
-Yes. But still, I didn't make it, I didn't hear that I should wait a little longer, let alone, that my wings were not fully developed, and so now I'm suffering the consequences.
Tears began to wet her cheeks. His little antennae curled, and his little wings became more gentle as he thought about the mistake.
-Then you have 2 important things in your favor. Did you know that? -
She could barely look up, she was intrigued by the situation before her.
-Why? -And she asked you seriously, Miss. For what reason, you didn't doubt even for a second that you could miss your target. You were confident that you would succeed, weren't you? -
This time, she nodded.
-Yes," she said, sobbing, "I felt that if I just opened my wings, I could seize the air, and then I would take flight. -
-Very good! Then you've already achieved 50% of your goal.
Now she fixed her gaze on him. She was totally surprised.
-But I failed. You don't understand, I failed," said the poor girl.
-You almost missed. Correction. Can you see up? -
The little girl looked out of the corner of her eye. There, many cocoons had not yet opened, except for her.
-Yes, they will fly out the first time, and they will only laugh at me when they see that I didn't get what I wanted.
-Look a little more, and tell me what do you perceive in those buds? -
As he sharpened his gaze, he noticed that many of them had small orifices. Some of their predators had made many of their kind their food. What's more, on the one that had been their cocoon, a spider was perched, lamenting that it had not arrived in time.
The little girl's eyes simply opened a little wider as she watched the end of her friends, and she was also grateful that she had made that move.
-Little girl. Never, but never, stay regretting things, try to see the good things you have done, and if not, try to correct them as soon as possible. Don't let the uncertainty overwhelm you, just keep looking up, and doing your best. Shall we try again? -
The butterfly smiled, took courage, and from her little push, took flight and lost in the firmament.
