길고 검은 비닐이 나무에 목도리 처럼 걸려서,

바람에 춤을 춤을 추고 있다.

작년 한해 밭을 덮고 농작물을 기르던 검은 비닐.

그 비닐을 잔뜩 실은 트럭이 뒤늦게 지나가고,

공터에는 밭에서 실려온 비닐들이 잔뜩 쌓이고,

플라스틱 쓰레기로 인한 생태계와 인체 오염에 대한

뉴스가 연일 포털에 올라오고,

서명하라고, 서명하면 바뀔것이라고 ....,

나는 저 비닐의 탄생과 생의 의미에 대해 잠시 생각한다.

믿을수 없게도 저 비닐의 목적과 존재의 동기는 사랑이었다.

밭에 씌워져 잡초를 방지하여 농부들의 고된 노동을 얼마나 덜어 주었던가?

흙을 따듯하게 하고 작물이 빨리 잘 자라게 하여 얼마나 크고 풍성한 수확을

안겨 주었던가?

얼마나 많은 사람들이 그 농작물을 먹었던가?

존재하는 모든 것들의 목적과 동기는 사랑일 뿐이었다.


그러나 우리가 그것을 나쁘게 쓰면서

우리는 그것들을 나쁜 것이라고 한다

우리는 존재하는 모든 것들을 할수 있는 한 맘대로 하면서

그것들이 우리의 의도에 따라 우리가 원하는 것이 되지 않는 것을

나쁜 것이라고 한다.
