Urkiola an Incredible Place
Hello friends! Some time ago I had the opportunity to walk the streets of Urkiola, a truly magical city, where the vestiges of the past combine perfectly with the technological advances and modernity of the present, it is a very new region for me, since it has very marked differences in relation to what we can see in Latin America and at the same time is a tourist destination where we can find all the information and possible communities that will allow us to enjoy a splendid and wonderful trip.

¡Hola amigos! Hace algún tiempo tuve la oportunidad de recorrer las calles de Urkiola, una ciudad realmente mágica, en donde los vestigios del pasado se conjugan de manera perfecta con los adelantos tecnológicos y la modernidad del presente, se trata de una región muy novedosa para mí, ya que cuenta con diferencias muy marcadas con relación a lo que podemos observar en Latinoamérica y al mismo tiempo constituye un destino turístico en donde podemos encontrar toda la información y las comunidades posibles que nos permitirán disfrutar de un viaje espléndido y maravilloso.
My journey through these Iberian lands was marked by enthusiasm and a deeply adventurous spirit, where the photographs were counted by hundreds and where I had the opportunity to enjoy truly wonderful landscapes, therefore, I could not miss the opportunity to capture a fairly large batch of black and white images, in which we can make a leap in time and travel to the Urkiola of the last century and this time it is a fairly simple exercise, because the architecture of the place and its perfect state of preservation allows us to recreate that city in the early 40s or 30s.
Mi recorrido por estas tierras ibéricas estuvo marcado por el entusiasmo y un espíritu profundamente aventurero, en donde las fotografías se contaron por centenas y en donde tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar de paisajes realmente maravillosos, por lo tanto, no pude dejar pasar la oportunidad de capturar un lote bastante importante de imágenes en blanco y negro, en las cuales podemos dar un salto en el tiempo y viajar hacia la Urkiola del siglo pasado y en esta ocasión se trata de un ejercicio bastante sencillo, pues la arquitectura del lugar y su perfecto estado de conservación nos permite recrear a esa ciudad de a principio de la década del 40 o del 30.
Urban landscapes are usually full of small and interesting details, which greatly enrich our captures and give us images that are unique, where cities dress up to give us their best faces and where we can discover a world that mixes reality with fantasy, architecture with nature and peace with the dynamism of large population centers.
Los paisajes urbanos suelen estar repletos de pequeños e interesantes detalles, los cuales enriquecen enormemente nuestras capturas y nos brindan unas imágenes que resultan únicas, en donde las ciudades se visten de galas para regalarnos sus mejores rostros y en dónde podemos descubrir un mundo que mezcla la realidad con la fantasía, la arquitectura con la naturaleza y la paz con el dinamismo propio de grandes centros poblados.
Urquiola is a city that welcomed me with open arms, its cool and pleasant climate gave me the great opportunity to know every corner of this city, I can also say that its inhabitants are people who are characterized by their great kindness, good heart and a great nationalism, in general it is an area where I could have fun to the fullest, where I could enjoy a living history and where I met dozens of places that I thought were great, I hope in the future to have the opportunity to return to walk these streets and live again a 100% Basque experience.
Urquiola es una ciudad que me recibió con los brazos abiertos, su clima fresco y agradable me brindó la grandiosa oportunidad de conocer cada rincón de esta ciudad, además puedo decir que sus pobladores son personas que se caracterizan por su gran amabilidad, buen corazón y un gran nacionalismo, en general se trata de una zona en donde pude divertirme al máximo, en donde pude disfrutar de una historia viva y en donde conocí decenas de lugares que me parecieron geniales, espero en algún futuro tener la oportunidad de volver a recorrer estas calles y vivir de nuevo una experiencia 100% vasca.
