Caracas, being the capital of the Republic, is a modern city, where large buildings exude elegance and good architectural style, while the streets and avenues are wide and usually full of vehicles, but this beautiful city has a rather rugged geography, Being a valley, the mountains are present on all sides, causing that flat spaces are scarce and, therefore, become expensive and exclusive lots, which historically have been occupied by the wealthiest sectors and by the institutions in charge of governing the state.

Caracas al ser la capital de la Rep煤blica es una ciudad moderna, en donde los grandes edificios derrochan elegancia y buen estilo arquitect贸nico, mientras que las calles y avenidas son anchas y normalmente se encuentran repletas de veh铆culos, pero esta linda ciudad cuenta con una geograf铆a bastante accidentada, ya que al ser un valle las monta帽as se encuentran presentes por todos lados, causando que los espacios planos sean escasos y, por lo tanto, se conviertan en lotes costosos y exclusivos, los cuales hist贸ricamente han sido ocupados por los sectores de mayores recursos y por las instituciones encargadas de regir estado.
Like all Latin American capitals, Caracas is a city that annually attracts many people, mostly from the interior of the country, who come to this city with the intention of finding a better quality of life, higher paying jobs and a brighter future, but it turns out that things are not as easy as they are written, The rents are expensive and for most of the cases to buy a property is a real dream, this is how little by little the mountains and hills of Caracas were covered with houses, sidewalks and rudimentary trails, generating complete slums where the services are not the most optimal of the Bonanza and opulence of a city that continues to grow.
Como toda capital latinoamericana Caracas es una ciudad que anualmente atrae a much铆simas personas, en su mayor铆a son procedentes del interior del pa铆s y llegan a esta urbe con la intenci贸n de encontrar una mejor calidad de vida, trabajos con mayor remuneraci贸n y un futuro m谩s brillante, pero resulta que las cosas no son tan f谩ciles como se escriben, los alquileres resultan costosos y para la mayor铆a de los casos comprar un inmueble es un verdadero sue帽o, es de esta forma como poco a poco las monta帽as y Colinas caraque帽as se fueron cubriendo de casas, veredas y senderos rudimentarios, generando barriadas completas en donde los servicios no son los m谩s 贸ptimos de lo alto la Bonanza y opulencia de una ciudad que sigue creciendo.
Socioeconomic inequalities are a reality in any country in the world and are the consequence of political models that are not very inclusive and that generation after generation add mistakes that in the end become big problems. This is how little by little the neighborhoods in Caracas grew and expanded, to the point of changing completely and forever the urban profile of a city that mixes the eccentricities of modernity with the indelible marks of poverty.
Las desigualdades socioecon贸micas son una realidad en cualquier pa铆s del mundo y son la consecuencia de modelos pol铆ticos poco inclusivos que generaci贸n tras generaci贸n van sumando errores que al final se convierten en grandes problemas, es as铆 como poco a poco los barrios en Caracas fueron creciendo y expandi茅ndose, hasta el punto de cambiar por completo y para siempre el perfil urbano de una ciudad que mezcla las excentricidades de la modernidad con las marcas indelebles de la pobreza.
In many cases the people who lived there did not consider themselves part of the city, since they saw Caracas from above and from afar, and in their surroundings they could find everything they needed to survive, but little by little and thanks to the intervention of the institutions, many of these realities began to change, Some popular urban projects rose on the top of the mountains that were previously covered by high-risk houses, some cable systems improved transportation and linked the center of Caracas with its peripheries, undoubtedly were firm steps towards a change of destiny, but even so it is only a drop of water in a sea of feelings and hopes.
Las barriadas caraque帽as con el tiempo se hicieron m谩s altas m谩s grandes y m谩s densas, en muchos de los casos las personas que all铆 viv铆an no se auto consideraban parte de la ciudad, pues ve铆an a Caracas desde arriba y desde lejos, adem谩s en sus entornos pod铆an encontrar todo lo necesario para sobrevivir, pero poco a poco y gracias a la intervenci贸n de las instituciones muchas de estas realidades comenzaron a cambiar, algunos proyectos urban铆sticos populares se elevaron en la cima de las monta帽as que antes eran cubiertas por casas de alto riesgo, algunos sistemas por cable mejoraron el transporte y unieron al centro de Caracas con sus periferias, sin duda alguna fueron pasos firmes hacia un cambio de destino, pero aun as铆 es solo una gota de agua dentro de un mar de sentimientos y esperanzas.
Today in the second decade of the XXI century there are still millions of people who watch the Venezuelan capital from above, some seem to have accepted their fate, but many others are still struggling and working to change their stars and provide a better future for their descendants, technological advances have undoubtedly contributed to improve the quality of life, but the shadow of the economic crisis forces the most impoverished households, so in this paradox of life I only ask God to bless and accompany all those who need him, so that we can move forward with firm and determined step.
Hoy en plena segunda d茅cada del siglo XXI a煤n existen millones de personas que observan a la capital venezolana desde lo alto, algunos parecieran haber aceptado su destino, pero muchos otros siguen luchando y trabajando por lograr cambiar sus estrellas y brindarle un mejor futuro a sus descendientes, sin duda alguna los avances tecnol贸gicos han contribuido a mejorar un poco la calidad de vida, pero la sombra de la crisis econ贸mica fuerza a los hogares m谩s empobrecidos, as铆 que en esta paradoja de la vida solo le pido a Dios que bendiga y acompa帽e a todos aquellos que lo necesitamos, para que de esta forma podamos seguir adelante con paso firme y decidido.
