Love the Monster

Pain

Classic aberrant anomaly
Stereotyped by great and small
Beheld and called by wicked repute
Predestined to take the fall

Irreducible filth
Unpresentable look
Unceasing stench
Irreconcilable fate

Yet somehow longing for change
Afresh, anew, in hopeful spurt
Yearning to shed the horrid mange
Nigh impossible with all its dirt

Oh, poor prejudiced, hungered soul
Forced to dig an early grave
In pieces and never whole
The crooked star that no one saves

Yes, even monsters dream of love
And love they hope to claim
When so much hate in them prevails
Is love bestowed a love in shame?

So should we, a chance to give
The monster in search of love?
In grace, to cleanse the lonely child
For even monsters are born of love

line2

Speak:

Hate is the great promoter of hate. An endless cycle that breeds violence and prejudice. When will it stop? How can we break the wheel? Where can we make a difference?
