Hello friends. This week #energyrefill brings us a very positive quote from Winston Churchill:
"We may not reach our destination if we stop to throw stones at every dog that barks at us."
- Winston Churchill
Our friend @tripode is the creator of this challenge along with her sponsor
@enginewitty in her round # 8. So this is my post.
I really like this phrase since it is very common to see how our projects and dreams disappear because we allow ourselves to be enveloped by negative comments or problems that always make us give up on them.
But this time I'm going to tell you something that happened to me and it was because ¨I didn't throw stones at the dogs¨.
When I got married, very excited by the way, but without a house where to go to share our love or where to start making our love nest. A very good friend told us that we could go live with her and her husband since the four of us were very good friends.
Everything went very well up to 1 year, she had a daughter from her first marriage, 6 years old. The paternal grandmother began to fight her legally since she wanted to stay with the granddaughter. My friend's lawyers told her that it was better if she didn't live with anyone since Grandma's lawyers could take hold of that excuse to be able to take it away from her, so we had to move.
There I began to think that a house was better for me and my husband, even if it was rented, but that we could live alone. From that day on I began to look at houses and ask about their prices and everything related to the purchase.
From there I moved with my parents, but by myself because my father did not let my husband move. Before long, my dad helped me move to a house where I would also work attending meetings of a company board of directors. They would go with their wives to talk business and play dominoes and drink and I had to have everything in order and make them food. Of course, it also had to have a clean yard and house.
I liked work and I liked the house. And I kept looking at the possible house where I would live and I even imagined myself in it. Two years later, my father died and almost immediately I was told that I was being fired and that I had to leave the house. I came back for my mom, alone again.
It had not been long when the Universe conspired in my favor. My mother tells me that one of the properties that my father had inherited was alone and that I was going to live there. Without much to ask, I came to the apartment where I still live. I have 35 years living here.
It took me a while, I got distracted a lot, I didn't try hard enough, I confess it, but my wish was fulfilled because I never stopped wanting it. I threw a lot of stones, I got a lot of dogs but here I am with my apartment (better than I thought) and almost without spending money since it is part of the inheritance that our father left us.
When you have a dream, don't be distracted until it comes true. Try not to tell anyone, focus on what you want and don't look to the sides. Tell us your story about how you applied this phrase in your life. Enter the link to participate:

Traducción al Español:
Hola amigos.
