This video is really one of those moments that makes you pause and remember how far friendship can go. The three of us in this clip have been friends for over 5 to 7 years now, since secondary school. We met in our first year of senior secondary and we were literally together every day. After that first year though, things changed. The guy in the Argentine jersey left, and it was just me, the guy wearing trouser and sleeves, and the one holding the camera who鈥檚 in the red shirt. We did the remaining two years together, but even after we left school we made sure we didn鈥檛 just drift apart. We still talk, we still check on each other, and once in a while we find time to link up like this. That鈥檚 why days like this mean a lot to me, because it reminds me we didn鈥檛 let life pull us apart.
You can see in the video we decided to meet at a bar and just chill, drink soft drink, gist, and catch up on life. I鈥檓 the one in the red and black checkered shirt, laughing and talking, and you can see my friend in the Argentina jersey sitting next to me looking calm. Then there鈥檚 the third guy, the one in trouser and sleeves, sitting on the wicker chair with a phone in his hand. He looks relaxed, just taking in the moment. The place had that outdoor bar vibe, with green grass, a red building behind, and one of those standing fans blowing. Someone was even watching a match on the TV in the background. Nothing serious, just boys being boys and enjoying each other鈥檚 company. We were cracking jokes about teachers and how we used to sneak out during break, and honestly it felt like we were back in SS2 again.
It鈥檚 funny because even though we don鈥檛 see every day like we used to in SS2 and SS3, the bond is still there. The guy in the Argentina jersey left after SS1, so we missed having him around for the last two years of school, but it never felt like he left the group. We still call, we still drag each other, and when we finally meet it鈥檚 like no time has passed. That鈥檚 what this video is about for me. Just three guys who grew up together, went through school wahala together, and are still finding ways to make time for each other even with work and other things going on. Even if it鈥檚 months before we see again, the love is still the same.
Moments like this are rare and that鈥檚 why I鈥檓 posting it. We were just drinking soft drinks, laughing, talking nonsense, and remembering secondary school days. From the classroom to this bar, from uniforms to our own clothes, we鈥檝e come a long way. Life has scattered us a bit but we always find our way back to each other. This get-together was superb and I鈥檓 glad we captured it. Hopefully we keep this going because friends like this are not common, 5 to 7 years is a long time and we鈥檙e still solid. I鈥檓 already looking forward to the next one, maybe next time we鈥檒l do suya and proper gist till night.
THANKS FOR VISITING
