Just hopped into Steemhop again and this run is already feeling different because the new season only kicked off yesterday so all the old rankings got wiped and everyone is starting fresh. Looking at my screen right now I got a 26 score sitting at top 52 with 85 coins collected so far and that little white character with the pink stripe is just chilling on the gray road waiting for me to make the next move. The brown train tracks and blue water strip are right there with those red and white barriers standing guard and an orange car parked up top while another one peeks in from the bottom. I love how clean the controls are with the big play button in the middle and the chicken icon ready if I want to switch skins later.
What really gets me is knowing the season reset happened just yesterday so every single hop counts more than usual right now. The tracks feel a bit tighter with more of those black warning signs popping up and the cars seem to come in faster patterns which always happens when a fresh season begins. I can almost feel the timing pressure just staring at this pause screen because one bad jump and the whole thing is over but if I time it right I can keep climbing that leaderboard while the top spots are still wide open. Those floating gold chicken coins are calling me and I already know I’m going to risk a few more runs tonight just to push past this 26.
The isometric view still looks so good with the railroad ties stretching out and the light blue water cutting through the middle. My little white character is one of the unlocked ones I got from earlier coin hauls and seeing the 85 coins in the corner makes me want to keep collecting until I can grab another skin. Bottom of the screen has the music and sound toggles plus the chicken avatar which always reminds me this whole thing is tied to Steem rewards so the higher I climb the better the weekly payout chance. With the new season only a day old it feels like the perfect time to grind a bit and see if I can break into the top 30 before the serious players lock everything down.
I’m not stressing about it though just enjoying the simple hop dodge collect loop that makes Steemhop so addictive. The barriers and tracks look inviting even when they’re dangerous and that modest 26 score with a top 52 rank shows there’s still plenty of room to improve if the next few jumps go clean. Fresh season means yesterday’s high scores don’t matter anymore so every run from now on is writing the new board from scratch and I plan to be part of it one careful hop at a time.
