Have you ever smoked marijuana?

Have you experienced any benefits from smoking marijuana?

Before I get into this post I would like to have this statement be the central understanding.

In no way do I certify that I have been under the influence of Marijuana at any point in my lifetime.

Now having said that I begin the post :)

Description of Marijuana

If you don't, marijuana, also referred to as Cannabis, is a plant that is grown and harvested for its cola (The actual marijuana buds). The colas can be used for many different things but the most popular is to smoke them such as you would with other tobacco products. The effect you get after smoking the plant is called a "High." The best description of the "High" feeling I can give is if time itself was slowed down to half of the normal speed. That may be confusing but the high it gives and the effects is the ultimate stress reducer. And because of its stress reducing effects is also why people can begin to use it a lot. The plant itself is not addicting in any way, shape, or form, but the effect that it gives some people can make them be inclined to reuse the plant. So when people say that marijuana is addicting it bothers me slightly because I bet they received that notion from the ideas of someone who has a negative, fixed view on the plant and it's effects.

Other products can be made from marijuana including those of CBD oils and hemp products. So the plant itself is very usful asides from smoking it.

Benefits of Marijuana

Here is a list of fact-based benefits of marijuana:

  1. Stress Relief
  2. Anxiety Relief
  3. Slow Alzheimer's
  4. Increased Lung Capacity (Yep, google it if you don't believe me)
  5. Stop Cancer from spreading
  6. Pain Relief
  7. Reduce inflammation from Arthritis
  8. Help seizures
  9. Treats Crohn's disease
  10. Treats Glaucoma

And there is more! Feel free to research..

To summarize though, there are many benefits related to cannabis and some are still being discovered and researched. It is medicine under the right control and can be used for many patients and at a cheap cost!

Disadvantages of Marijuana

Disadvantages of Marijuana can include some long term effects like lung problems. Some believe that it's linked to lung cancer but this hasn't been proven. There is a lot more unproven effects that it can possibly cause but just like many benefits, the plant itself has not been studied or researched for that long anyway until now.

The best thing to do if you do smoke it is to make sure the device or whatever you are using to smoke out of is sanitary and preferably a glass product. Any other material can cause problems based on the material being heated up from the smoke and the particles of material you are inhaling. Smoke Responsibly.

Should it be Legalized?

So the big question is this... Should it be Legalized? To answer this I have to say yes and no and here is why.

I say yes because it has amazing benefits beyond what any other plant can solely produce by itself and it should implement into the medical field asap and should researched nationwide. the benefits are far to great to pass up on for the medical industry. That's why I say yes but for the reason I say no is that the plant still has unknown effects on people. Then again this contradicts to why I'm saying yes because it needs to be researched more.

If I had to give a definitive answer then I would say yes. The research will come along faster after being legalized, medical patients could receive treatment asap, the government could tax the !@#$ out of it ultimately helping (specifically) the United States deficit. Cannabis has economic benefits too and its uses apply to more than just the individual.

Please leave a reply telling me what you think should happen regarding the legalization of marijuana.
