Check out the trichome heads in this closeup of my Reclining Buddha female:
I first posted about this plant a few weeks ago when it had recently begun flowering. She had just been pollinated by the 2 males I got. I only managed to germinate 3 seeds out of several dozen this year, so I'm lucky to have a pregnant female to carry on the line!
Here she is enjoying her final days, growing in the ground and soaking up direct sunlight, in my backyard greenhouse! It's always a pleasure to be able to grow this plant in this way, exactly as Nature has done it for tens of millions of years.
You might notice a good number of brown/red pistils among the fresher pale green ones. That's a sign the plant has just hit maturity.
This plant is being grown for personal medicinal use, to treat my wife @MediKatie's lifelong cancer treatment side effects.
Starting to chunk up a little, which is always great to see! I'll take what I can get, being a 200% organic grower! Meaning I NEVER use ANYTHING except pure organic soil, water, air, and light to grow my plants, something almost nobody else can say. It's a lot harder to do, and your yield is going to be quite a bit less, but the quality and purity is always far superior to anything you can get growing with products.
There she is a week ago, out of the ground into a bucket to come inside. The temperature was about to drop below freezing, which pretty much insta-kills these warm-weather plants, so it was time to move.
There's the final outdoor photo, showing decent trichome coverage and bud size, at an early/mid level of maturity.
That's her inside, getting a little sunlight through a window, awaiting harvest.
The trichome check shows quite a good maturity level. Widespread milky white (mostly THC) with plenty of amber (CBD) and a few dark (CBN etc). I'm calling it, she's done!
Full of mature seeds to carry on the line, coated with sticky resin, and glimmering like a jewel. I'm pleased and proud I was able to turn a bag of mostly dead seeds into 3 individuals, and turn those 3 individuals into a bag of healthy living seeds.
Grow in peace.
