Last week I was visiting my daughter in Tomsk. On Saturday, my daughter and I went for a walk around the city.
Spring is just beginning there, and warm days are replaced by frosty nights. The bright spring sun and sparkling snow make people wear sunglasses, and the city rejoices at the end of winter. The main street of Tomsk – Leninsky Prospekt starts from the Camp Garden. The pedestrian path of the Camp Garden, located on the high bank of the Tom River, offers cool views. Walking around Tomsk, my daughter and I went to the Camp Garden to look at the river and the surrounding area. Tomsk is a youth city, it has many educational institutions and students. Youth is characterized by a passion for sports, including extreme sports. Paragliders start from the site of the Camp Garden, located on the steep bank of the Tom River, on weekends.
It must be very cool to float in the air catching wind currents and look at everything from top to bottom. Among paragliders, both boys and girls, they take turns going to the sky.

But this guy on a motorcycle is not used to depend on the capricious wind, he makes a small run-up on the ice of the river and now he is confidently gaining altitude in the air. The motorcycle flew somewhere along the river, and the paragliders continued to circle over the Camp Garden, to the delight of the children.
My daughter and I admired the still frozen river, looked at the takeoffs and landings of paragliders, I took some photos and we went on to walk in the spring (and in some places even winter) Tomsk. We walked along the avenue to Tomsk University, and entered the University Botanical Garden.
This place is a piece of taiga in the center of a large city. There is still no smell of spring here, if you get off the path, you can fall knee-deep into the snow.
On the other side of the entrance to the botanical garden, there is a landscape park, it is very beautiful here in the warm season, the flowers are selected so that they bloom, replacing each other from May to October, but so far, alas, everything is covered with snow and only the thuja towers with green pyramids.
Tropical plants live in a four-story glass building. On weekends, parents and children come here in a continuous stream to get from snowy Tomsk to the tropical world for at least an hour.
